Again and again, we’ve seen President Biden denying the fallout of his policies. It seems the Biden administration makes a bad decision. That decision hurts Americans. Yet, instead of changing course, the White House keeps pushing the bad plan. And it is denying that Biden made any mistakes.

It’s not a great way to lead a country, as we’ve seen.

It’s so bad the federal government seems to be playing with data to make Biden seem better than he is. The government claims that the country has been adding jobs. Only for us to learn that 3/4ths of all jobs added since 2021 have been to migrants. Now, this new number should alarm every working American.

Initial applications for US unemployment benefits jumped last week, suggesting a surge in layoffs and adding to concerns that the economy could be weakening.

First-time claims increased by 13,000 to 242,000 in the week ended June after similar rises in each of the two prior weeks, bringing claims to the highest level since August 2023, according to Labor Department data released Thursday. The median forecast in an Econoday survey of analysts was for 222,000.

Initial claims are a proxy for layoffs. The three-week rise in claims suggests that companies may be reducing headcounts after the economy appeared to slow in recent months.

Jobless claims jumped to 242,000 in the previous week. This number hasn’t been this bad since August of last year. It exceeded an average forecast by a recent survey. This could suggest businesses are laying off in droves, driving Americans to seek unemployment checks.

This is a lousy time for layoffs, as the summer season is only kicking off. Yet, many Americans revealed they were not going on trips this year, thanks to Bidenflation. A drop in business could be a driving factor to these layoffs. Many companies—across all industries—are feeling the pinch of inflation. Americans are spending less because costs are so high.

That can only lead to layoffs and business closures. Just this month, we learned about restaurant chains closing hundreds of locations as business tanks. Thousands of Americans were out of a job; this alone could be why unemployment requests skyrocketed.

It didn’t have to be this bad. But Biden’s policies have funneled money into foreign countries’ pockets as he imports illegal aliens into the country. States are burning through cash to help migrants as Americans can’t afford to buy eggs or hamburgers.
