A report from Teen Vogue is revealing that young voters, from “Gen Z,” are ditching the Biden campaign. In 2020, about 57% of young voters expressed interest in the election. This time, only 49% of them show an interest.

It appears many of them are not willing to vote for a candidate and the supposedly corrupt system they “cannot support.” There are likely several reasons why these young voters are abandoning Biden.

Most young people are seeing prices outpace their wages—and they only have one person to blame.

Another odd, but unavoidable, reason young voters are ditching Joe is due to the war in Israel. Many young voters identify as progressive. And it has been this group that has strongly opposed Israel’s war with Hamas, going as far as to express anti-Israel and anti-Semitic views.

Biden’s support for Israel has actually hurt his standing with progressive Americans, especially young progressives who are foolishly siding with Hamas. The outrage against the Biden administration has been intense. Considering Democrats rely on young voters more than Republicans—this outrage is unlikely to hurt the GOP.
