Independent voters have lost faith in President Joe Biden to handle the problems facing the United States and would choose former President Donald Trump or Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis instead in 2024, according to a new post-election survey of the influential and growing group.
In a new Zogby Poll shared with Secrets, just 36.9% of independents approve of Biden, with another 60.7% signaling disapproval, a huge gap for a president considering a reelection bid.
This is pretty devastating news for Joe–no matter how you spin it. According to this new poll, Biden has lost the support of independent voters. A whopping 60.7% of them disapprove of his job as president.
Even more damning is that most of them would rather vote for Republicans Donald Trump or Ron DeSantis instead. Trump is Biden’s biggest enemy. Joe and Democrats have spent years trying to slander him and discredit his 2024 comeback. Yet independent voters still prefer Trump over senile Joe.
DeSantis is a rising star in the GOP. Many people think he will be our next president. Democrats are very scared of him and are praying he doesn’t get the nomination (if they even bother to pray). And now, we know that most independents want him over old Joe.
Can Joe Biden overcome these odds to hold onto the White House? It doesn’t look likely. Republicans will still have to fight very hard to secure victories for their party in 2024. But polls like this assure us that Biden has a major mountain to climb.
