Since the start of the Biden administration, the U.S. border with Mexico has seen a spike in illegal crossings. Republicans and border officials raised the alarm. But little seems to have been done to stop the flood of border crossers coming into America. And the crisis has just reached a new milestone.
From The Post Millennial:
There were a record 2.4 million apprehensions at the US border in the 2023 fiscal year, per data released by US Customs and Border Protection. The fiscal year concluded in September.
This tops the last record of 2.3 million, which was set in the previous fiscal year.
Over four million migrants have illegally entered the country since Biden entered office. The administration has been accused of aiding these aliens, busing them to various communities across the country.
Border states like Texas have repeatedly requested aid from the federal government to address the crisis. According to governors like Greg Abbott, they have received no assistance from the White House. Texas has been rolling out numerous measures to discourage illegal entry and prevent migrants from overwhelming the state.
Other border states, however, have seemingly refused to secure their borders. California has been accused of rolling out a red carpet for illegal aliens. It appears migrants are entering Texas, not just through the border, but through other states. So now, Texas is ramping up its security.
From The Post Millennial:
The state of Texas has started installing razor wire along the border with New Mexico in an effort to curb illegal immigration. Fencing is going up between the two states, as well.
“Our barriers around El Paso forced the migrants crossing illegally to enter into New Mexico. They then entered into El Paso from there. To end that, we are building a barrier on the New Mexico border,” Abbott said on X.

The state of Texas has been installing various deterrents along the border. The Biden administration has gone as far as to cut down some of these measures, including razor wire. Gov. Abbott, outraged by the president’s actions, has called out the Texas National Guard to further secure the border.
Now, Texas is putting up razor wire along the El Paso border with New Mexico. Illegal entrants are slipping into the neighboring state and entering Texas through the city. It appears New Mexico, like other blue border states, is refusing to prevent illegal immigration.
This news is a reminder that unless the entire border is secure, border jumpers will continue to find ways of sneaking in. Without support from the federal government, this crisis will only continue to explode.
