Legendary comedian and sitcom star Jerry Seinfeld is universally beloved by Americans. He has continued to entertain audiences since the end of his show, touring the country as a stand-up comedian.

He even recently directed a film for the first time—to acclaimed responses.

Perhaps that is why, among other reasons, Duke University chose Seinfeld to speak at this year’s graduation ceremony. Imagine having a famous comedian speak at your graduation! But some apparently didn’t appreciate this—and insulted the star.

During Duke University’s commencement ceremony, a number of students were seen walking out while comedian Jerry Seinfeld delivered a speech to the graduating class. The walkout was in response to Seinfeld’s continued support of Israel amidst its conflict with the Palestinian terror group Hamas.

Anti-Israel Duke graduates walked out of the ceremony while Jerry Seinfeld was speaking. Seinfeld is a supporter of the nation of Israel and is himself Jewish. That seemed to be too much for these entitled far-left socialists.

They chanted “Free Palestine” and waved Palestinian flags as they left the ceremony. It was, from all appearances, a disgraceful act on the part of these graduates. But that’s when the audience decided to let them know what they thought.

Video posted on social media appears to show the cap-and-gown-clad protesters rising from their seats on the football field as some audience members began to cheer. Other audience members, apparently incensed by the demonstration, attempted to drown out the pro-Palestine supporters. Many audience members also chanted “Jerry” in support of the sitcom star, The Hill reported.

Attendees of the ceremony started to boo graduates who walked out over Seinfeld’s appearance. They tried to drown out the antisemitic progressives, by chanting “Jerry.”

Progressives hate Israel so much, that at this point they can’t even attend their own graduation! For weeks now, the anti-war protest has taken on a stronger antisemitic edge, with Jewish students fearing for their safety on campuses.

Liberal leaders of major universities have done a poor job confronting this movement. Many professors have encouraged the demonstrations, spreading anti-Israel and antisemitic views to their students.
