Trump’s been making good on his promises. Especially his word to lower taxes.
Millions of Americans have seen the impact of Trump’s agenda. And it spells larger paychecks.
But polls for the 2018 elections have looked dire for Republicans for months. We all take polls with a grain of salt, but when they all agree by wide margins, you have to pay attention.
Traditionally the party that holds power, and especially the Presidency, takes major losses. Few Presidents have been able to hold even, much less make gains in the House or Senate.
In just the last 2 months, Democrats have led Republicans by an eye-popping 10 points, signaling a tidal wave that even a roaring economy would not be able to hold back.
So it comes as a big surprise that polling has changed along with paycheck increases.
From Politico:
Republicans have erased the Democratic advantage on the generic congressional ballot in a new POLITICO/Morning Consult poll that, for the first time since April, also shows President Donald Trump’s approval rating equaling the percentage of voters who disapprove of his job performance.
Fully 39 percent of registered voters say they would support the GOP candidate for Congress in their district, while 38 percent would back the Democratic candidate. Nearly a quarter of voters, 23 percent, are undecided.
Voters are split almost evenly along party lines. Democratic voters break for their party, 85 percent to 5 percent, while Republicans similarly favor the GOP, 84 percent to 8 percent.
Among independent voters, 26 percent would vote for the Democrat, 25 percent for the Republican and nearly half, 49 percent, are undecided.
The Democrats don’t have much of a platform anymore. Their entire existence has been about bashing the President.
What are they going to say to voters come November? They opposed tax cuts, shut down the government, and put illegals ahead of citizens.
Their die-hard base might still be with them, but many everyday Americans are not. Why would they, when all they hear from Democrats is hate for the President?
Liberals will vote for the devil if he was running against Trump. But most Americans aren’t that stupid.
They are seeing the impact Trump is having on the country. The only negativity coming out is from the left.
They’ve done nothing this last year and a half. And America knows. Come November, they’re going to have a real problem.
