In recent years, major U.S. brands have started to embrace radical, leftist politics. Once trusted companies have decided to move away from successful marketing formulas, to use their platforms to promote various “social justice” causes.

Everyone from Disney to Gillette to Major League Baseball appear to be pushing politically correct messages (often called “woke” messaging) across their products and promotions. Americans are not unaware of this trend and have frequently criticized it.

One brand shocked customers by embracing “woke” feminist propaganda. Victoria’s Secret, the iconic lingerie brand, appeared to ditch its winning marketing to push leftist ideology. To the surprise of no one, this happened.

Lingerie chain Victoria’s Secret is reportedly ditching its woke, feminist makeover of recent years as it hasn’t translated to business success.

Since the brand decided to move away from its “hyper-sexualized” image – as BusinessOfFashion.com described it in a recent article – Victoria’s Secret has seen a significant revenue drop.

As such, it has looked to revamp itself and bring back “sexiness,” the outlet noted in a piece that was also published by editorial partner CNN on Tuesday.

Victoria’s Secret was an internationally-recognized leader in women’s lingerie. Its branding largely focused on making women appear sexy and desirable, especially to their male partners. Much of its sales came from boyfriends and husbands, who purchased lingerie for their significant others.

But the company, like many others, embraced mandates from leftist organizations and no doubt stockholders who are pushing a woke agenda. It started propagating feminist ideals across its brand, abandoning its iconic supermodels in exchange for “real” women.

The feminists who took over the company scolded its previous “hyper-sexualized image,” which in the past was simply considered “sexy.” This brings back echoes of Bud Light executives who blasted its brand for being “fratty” for appealing to young men.

Victoria’s Secret even selected controversial, leftist “athlete” Megan Rapinoe, who is most known for her divisive and inflammatory comments.

The company has been losing billions since the switch. Its projected revenue for 2023 is down 5% from last year, and even lower than what it earned in 2020.

This follows the very same trend seen among most companies’ “woke” rebranding. If leftist groups and inventors were trying to destroy American corporations, they couldn’t be doing a better job. It seems odd that major companies would embrace an ideology coming from groups that hate capitalism and have vowed to destroy it.

Perhaps that’s what they’ve been trying to do all along?
