After Trump Scores More Primary Wins – The GOP Issues 1 Historic Announcement

When Donald Trump announced he wasn’t attending the GOP debates, some were shocked. So-called experts claimed he was going to lose voters because he snubbed these events.

It appeared that there were many Republican leaders still insisting that Trump should not return to the White House.

Very quickly, his GOP rivals started to drop out. Only two were left at the start of primary voting. But by the time Super Tuesday was over, only Trump was left in the race. This week, several more states went to the polls. Now, the Republican Party is making a startling announcement.

From The Post Millennial:
Donald Trump is the presumptive GOP nominee for President…

Trump secured a minimum of 1,215 delegates, which is the threshold required to clinch the Republican nomination. Before the Tuesday primaries, Trump had garnered 1,077 delegates, leaving a gap of at least 138 delegates to be secured…

“My first acts as your next President will be to Close the Border, DRILL, BABY, DRILL, and Free the January 6 Hostages being wrongfully imprisoned!” Trump wrote on Truth Social on Monday.

Soon after Trump secured big wins this week, the Republican National Committee declared him their nominee for president. They stated that he had “eclipsed” the delegate threshold and clinched the nomination.

At the time of this writing, Trump has secured 1,241 delegates. That is well beyond the required delegates to become the party’s nominee. Trump was the clear frontrunner since the summer of last year, based on most polls.

He quickly established his dominance as voting began, winning far more votes than most candidates still in the race. Although Nikki Haley refused to quit, she could only garner 94 delegates before dropping out.

There are still more states to go to the polls in the primary race, but Trump has already earned the nomination. The 2024 Election will be a rematch of the 2020 Election. This time, however, Biden will have to convince voters to keep him, after four years of scandal, crises, and declining conditions around the world.

Key Takeaways:

  • Trump secured enough delegates this week to become the GOP nominee.
  • The RNC official declared him the party’s nominee after the latest voting.
  • Trump scored more delegates than needed to clinch the race.
