After Hunter Demands End to His Trial – Federal Judge Announces Surprising Decision

President Biden’s son is facing a series of legal challenges. Last year, the DOJ offered him a sweetheart deal—which would have protected him from most of the consequences of these trials. A federal judge threw out that deal, forcing Biden to stand trial.

More recently, Hunter’s lawyers tried to get his tax evasion case thrown out. They claimed, to the shock of millions of Americans, that Hunter was being targeted over political motivations.

They said this after numerous Democrats indicted Donald Trump while he was running for president. A federal judge reviewed Hunter’s demands for his trial to be dismissed. This is how the court ruled.

From Breitbart:
Hunter Biden’s attempt to have all his tax charges thrown out was defeated Monday, letting the criminal case against him move forward…

The decision confirms Biden faces three felony charges and six misdemeanor charges in connection to tax evasion, filing a false return and failing to pay taxes between 2016 and 2019…

The president’s son filed eight separate motions to dismiss the charges, citing different legal rationale for each including immunity claimed from a previous plea deal he had negotiated, all of which were denied.

In a small victory for critics of the Biden family, a federal judge rejected eight separate motions filed by Hunter’s lawyers to dismiss his tax trial. Hunter’s legal team claimed he was being targeted over politics—a claim they seemed to be unable to prove.

IRS whistleblowers accused the agency of going easy on Hunter. They seemed to implicate both the IRS and DOJ of trying to sweep Hunter’s actions under the rug, to potentially hide larger crimes by Joe and the rest of the family.

Republicans have accused Joe and Hunter Biden of selling influence to foreign entities. Hunter might have lied on his taxes in previous years, to hide sources of income from these foreign entities—and to prevent the government from discovering this scheme.

It is unknown if the IRS found evidence of money laundering or bribery in their investigation. But whistleblowers’ accusations might suggest that the DOJ’s interference could have undermined the integrity of that investigation.

Key Takeaways:

  • A federal court rejected all eight demands to dismiss Hunter Biden’s tax evasion trial.
  • Hunter’s lawyers claimed the president’s son was being politically targeted.
  • The trial revolves around Hunter lying to the IRS and refusing to pay taxes from 2016 to 2019.
