Surprise 2024 Report Leaves America Stunned – It’s Really Unexpected News For Both Biden and Trump

The current frontrunners for 2024 seem to be obvious: former President Donald Trump and current POTUS Joe Biden, with GOP potential Ron DeSantis shaking things up a bit.

However, while the majorities appear clear for the time being, there’s a rumbling undercurrent — a new poll suggests that a huge percentage of the country wants a different face.

In fact, if it’s Trump vs. Biden 2.0, half the country might go another direction.

While other possible candidates have yet to appear on the big stage – especially on the Democrat side – if the presidential race was held this year, most would say it’s definitely a rematch of 2020.

And while both men have millions of followers, many more millions would rather not see that rematch.

According to a new survey, a whole lot of voters are balking at the idea (via Washington Examiner):

Nearly half of voters said they do not want to see a rematch between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump and would consider voting for a third-party candidate if there is one.

A NewsNation and Decision Desk HQ poll showed that 23.38% of voters said they are very likely to consider a third-party candidate if there is a rematch between Biden and Trump in 2024, while 25.67% said they are somewhat likely to consider voting for a third-party candidate.

The fact that over half of voters said they’d consider a third-party candidate is unusual, maybe even unprecedented.

However, there’s no doubt that the country is extremely disillusioned with the two main parties; it seems as if a high percentage of Republican and Democrat voters aren’t happy with the current state of their chosen party.

For possible third-party candidates, over 20 percent said they’d lean toward Sen. Bernie Sanders (though he’s already confirmed he isn’t running), while over 10 percent would vote for Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney.

The poll also showed that over 54 percent either somewhat or strongly disapprove of Biden’s job performance.

Then there’s the question of a running mate for Trump if he’s the GOP nominee:

Perhaps surprisingly, the top vote-getter was Trump’s former VP, Mike Pence (15.26%), followed closely by current candidates Sen. Tim Scott (13.08%) and former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley (11.58%).

But maybe most telling of all is that over 70 percent of those polled said the U.S. is on the wrong track; only 18% said it’s on the right track.

That extreme lack of optimism could lead to a seismic shift in 2024, especially if the nation is faced with a 2020 rematch — which many people just don’t want to see.

Key Takeaways:

  • A new poll shows that more than half the country would consider a third-party candidate if there’s a Trump/Biden rematch in 2024.
  • This indicates a lean toward new leadership, as over 70 percent say the U.S. is “on the wrong track.”
  • The survey also showed that over 54 percent somewhat or strongly disapprove of Biden’s job performance.
