The 2024 GOP Rocket Ship Just Launched – Monumental Weekend Has Top Contenders at 2 Major Events

What’s Happening:

The 2024 Election is more than a year away. But we are getting close to the primaries heating up. Joe Biden might be able to stave off Democrat competition–but all eyes are on the Republicans vying for the GOP nomination.

We know that a number of candidates are already running. And many think a few more notable Republicans will soon join the fray. But things will kick off this weekend, as major conservative events happen at the same time. And top leaders will be flexing their political muscles at both.

From Fox News:

The two presumed front-runners of the 2024 GOP primary field are headlining competing conservative political events this week as the race to the White House picks up.

DeSantis… kicked off a three-day donor retreat Thursday evening hosted by the politically influential, fiscally conservative group the Club for Growth…

Instead, Trump will headline Saturday’s closing session of the Conservative Political Action Conference, better known as CPAC, which is the oldest and largest annual national gathering of conservative activists and leaders.

It’s going to be a busy weekend! DeSantis will be appearing in front of powerful Republican donors at the Club for Growth event. Joining him are other conservative icons including Mike Pence, Nikki Haley, and Tim Scott–all possible 2024 contenders.

Trump, to the shock of some, was not invited. Instead, he will be the closing speaker at this weekend’s CPAC. This conference is attended by thousands of conservatives and leaders. Two GOP primary candidates will also be there, Nikki Haley and businessman Vivek Ramaswamy.

This weekend will help set the tone for the impending GOP primaries. Candidates who wish to gain momentum will need to bring in support from donors–and get voters noticing. Donald Trump has no problems getting attention. He might not need many big donors, either.

Ron DeSantis already has many voters’ eyes–despite the fact he has not announced a campaign yet. Some of the other Republicans, though, will need every last event, dollar, and voter. They will be fighting against Trump’s powerful headwinds and the growing admiration for Florida’s governor.

What happens this weekend could decide many of their campaigns.

Key Takeaways:

  • Republican leaders will be facing off during big conservative events this weekend.
  • DeSantis and other leaders will speak at the Club for Growth in Florida.
  • Donald Trump and other Republicans will appear at CPAC.
  • Many 2024 hopefuls will work to expand their support during these events.
