Ever since his performance at the GOP debate, the left has been gunning for Vivek Ramaswamy. The liberal media, and even some conservative outlets, have been trying to find ways to derail his campaign. Why? Well, Ramaswamy has a reputation for being an “anti-woke” CEO. He comes from the private sector and could be a threat to the establishment swamp.
And, of course, he’s called the climate agenda a “hoax.”
Leftist-loving journalist Andrea Mitchell tried to grill Ramaswamy during an interview on MSNBC. The liberal claimed that climate change has resulted in “2 million” deaths over the last fifty years. But Ramaswamy’s response sent environmental activists running for their therapists.

“I can offer clear evidence that the number of climate disaster related deaths is down by 98% over the last century. The number of people who died of hurricanes, tornadoes, heatwaves and other weather-related events in 1920 — for every 100 that died then, two die today.”
Whoa. Ramaswamy was not daunted by Mitchell’s claim that climate change has resulted in deaths. He pointed out that since 1920, technology powered by fossil fuels has saved far more lives from climate-related events.
He pointed out that thanks to the abundant energy provided by fossil fuels, humanity has been able to brave disasters like hurricanes, tornadoes, and heatwaves. Not only that, but he stated that eight times as many people die of cold temperatures than warm ones. How do we prevent that? By providing heat–which is easy to do, thanks to fossil fuels.
Ramaswamy boldly took the climate hysterics on and gave them an argument they could not ignore. Biden and Democrats are reducing our ability to generate affordable, reliable energy by attacking fossil fuels. But “green” sources of energy cannot provide the power needed to save lives. Just ask anyone in Texas right now.
Fossil fuels have done far more good for humanity than the left claims. If environmentalists had it their way, we’d all be eating grass, and living in mud huts. Meanwhile, climate activists continue to live in mansions, sail in super yachts, and fly in private jets. The radical climate agenda would put most of us back into the Dark Ages, while rich liberals enjoy zero restrictions to their lifestyles.
