2024 Candidate Suffers Major Setback – This Could Put an End to Her Campaign

The 2024 presidential election might still be a ways off, but some candidates are already kicking their campaigns into high gear.

Former President Donald Trump has already been very active, for example, and current POTUS Joe Biden just announced his re-election drive.

But one Democrat candidate has hit an early snag — and it might be a bad sign for the future.

Marianne Williamson isn’t expected to be a major player in the 2024 picture, as she’s not likely to land the nomination from her party.

However, she’s one of the few Democrats who have officially entered the fray, so she’s definitely in the spotlight for now.

And she just suffered a couple of serious losses, which indicate a potential problem with her campaign.

From Breitbart:

Democrat Marianne Williamson, who launched a long-shot campaign to primary President Joe Biden, reportedly lost two top campaign officials within days of each other.

Williamson’s campaign lost its campaign manager, Peter Daou, last Saturday and its deputy manager, Jason Call, on Friday, according to Politico.

A campaign staffer has confirmed that the two left on mutual terms.

This spokesperson said “the campaign is just moving in a different direction,” and someone like Daou embraces “traditional Democratic policies” while Williamson is looking to be “more innovative.”

For Daou’s part, however, he calls this reason “categorically false.”

He would only throw up a Twitter posting detailing personal reasons for bowing out:

As for Jason Call, he also declined to say why he was leaving the Williamson campaign.

He’s running as a Green Party candidate for Washington’s 2nd congressional district, and helped raise money for the filing fee the day after his resignation.

The bottom line is that Williamson has lost two significant members of her team in just a matter of days, and some are wondering if this indicates an underlying issue with the campaign.

For now, everyone on her team is staying mostly silent on the matter, but it’s likely not seen as good news.

Right now, Biden is considered the frontrunner for the Democrat 2024 nomination, primarily because there aren’t a lot of viable options for the party right now.

Key Takeaways:

  • Democrat 2024 presidential candidate Marianne Williamson lost 2 major campaign staffers in a few days.
  • Her campaign manager and deputy manager have bowed out.
  • Critics wonder if this means there are bigger problems with the Williamson campaign.
